Production day laborer (Boisbriand)

Day shift, 8 hours, Monday to Friday
Role and responsibilities
The day laborer position consists of carrying out the various stages of processing food products by following the rhythm of a production line, operating certain machines, carrying out various manipulations and handling.
Main tasks of the position:
Packaging Section

Package products manually or using automated equipment.

Apply a label to the product using a labeling machine.
Thawing Section
-
Unpack the meat and place it on cooking racks.

Place the racks in the thawing chambers and start the thawing cycle.

Check temperatures.
Trimming Section
-
Unpack the meat from the combos and place it on the trimming tables.

Prepare the meat (remove fat and undesirable parts).
Injection Section
-
Feed the injector (machine). Take the meat from the combos and place it on the injector conveyor belt.

Operate the injector.
Tumbling Section
-
Weigh the meat.
-
Place the meat in the tumbler.

Operate the tumbler.
Hanging Section
-
Place the meat on cooking racks.
Smoked Meat Portion Section
-
Weigh portions of meat according to the required criteria using a scale.

Roll and place the meat portion in a tray.
Qualifications:

No experience required
-
Knowledge of the French language
-
Packaging department schedule: 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

All other departments: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
